Our brand-new, proudly British menu is bursting-with-flavour and showcases the finest, just-plucked-from-the-soil seasonal produce from local farmers and producers. Think pub classics with a twist, comfort food that’s basically a hug on a plate, and hearty dishes that’ll have you planning your next visit to us. Our Sunday Roasts

Get ready for big, mouth-watering Yorkies, crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside roasties, and the juiciest, tenderest British meats you can imagine. From our slow-roasted West Country rump of beef (trust us, it’s melt-in-your-mouth good), to our most popular, crowd-pleasing roast… our cider and bay slow-cooked Dingley Dell belly of pork (it’s basically the Sunday roast of your dreams). Sundays are extra-special at ours, and we’ve made sure our menu reflects that, full of fresh-off-the-stalk, seasonal sides and feel-good flavours. Take a look at our Sunday menu and see for yourself, it’s a Sunday feast that’s nothing short of legendary.

Our Winter Set Menu

Winter’s settled over Putney Heath, but here, we’re keeping things hearty, homely and properly plate-pleasing (the kind of winter you actually look forward to). From 5th January to 27th February, join us Monday to Friday for our Winter Set Menu, a cosy celebration of British comfort done brilliantly. Think Day Boat scampi with samphire tartare sauce and skinny fries (crisp, fresh, gone-before-you-know-it) and our Cumberland sausage & mash (big, banger-loving energy with gravy that means business).

Tuck into 2 courses for £19 or 3 for £23, the perfect excuse to escape the cold, settle in by the Heath, and treat yourself to something warm and properly delicious. Because winter should feel comforting… and we’ve got just the plates to prove it.

On a sunny day, the Green Man is an ideal place to enjoy great food (and great beer), in the beautiful back garden. We have been accommodated with a booth and it was creating the perfect balance between being outside and getting a shield from the (relative) chilliness when the sun was covered. The food was absolutely delicious - we had burgers, fish and chips and roasts. Special mention to the "brownie" which was not too sweet and offering a perfect ending to this lunch. Service was amazing. The waiters were all extremely helpful and friendly. Always smiling, which is worth noting!

Had a lovely pub lunch, sitting out the back of the pub in the garden area. Nice table/alcove, and excellent food. Had a great pie and starter with humus/bread, plus crumble desert. Definitely recommend for an easy relaxing escape near Putney Heath/top of Putney Hill

Came here for dinner and had a lovely time. The ambience and service were both fantastic and the food came up hot and delicious - i had the steak which was excellent. The food is also very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

We popped into this lovely pub after a long family walk on the heath. The ale was in top condition the food was great, especially the game pie. We had a lovely seat and the young lad that served us was great. We will definitely be walking this way again in the future.
